St Nicholas

Welcome to the Christian Community serving the Parishes of Abbas & Templecombe, Henstridge and Horsington.

Thank you for visiting our website. Our prayer is that you find what we are about accessible, welcoming and engaging in your pursuit of a daily living faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

In order to keep one another safe, we follow our Safeguarding Policy (See Safeguarding on our menu). The Dioceses of Bath & Wells's Safeguarding pages also contain vital links and information to help keep one another safe. We aim to be an inclusive community that looks after the well-being of the other.

Our focus at present is on helping one another encounter God daily to be Christ-like in our community. Romans 12:1-2. "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."

We would love to hear from you, so do leave a message via the website or contact me direct on telephone 01963 363832 or on email [email protected].  Or you can contact one of our Churchwardens:

Henstridge Church has its annual gift day this Saturday 9th December. We need your help!

What is Parish Gift Day? On a small budget and with some dedicated volunteers we manage to provide the Wednesday playgroup, the community fridge and larder, the Words and Music monthly event, and Messy Church sessions to name just a few.

The events, facilities, refreshments, food, cleaning and furnishings are all funded by YOUR donations. We need your gifts to make sure this work continues over the next year. The church will be open 9am-4pm with a simple Nepalese vegetarian hot lunch being served 12-2pm and all visitors will be very, very welcome!
