Holy Trinity

Welcome to your parish church in Holtby!

We have a Sunday service in the church, usually twice a month. On the 2nd Sunday of the month this is a morning service of Holy Communion at 9.00am. On the 4th Sunday we usually celebrate Evensong.

On the mornings of the 4th and 5th Sundays we join together as a Benefice to worship in one of the four Benefice churches.

We also have a live service of Compline (night prayer) every Wednesday at 7.00pm over Zoom. You can either download the free Zoom app or just join us through your web browser at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86707839332. The Meeting ID is 867 0783 9332.

Safeguarding

We take very seriously our responsibility to safeguard the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults entrusted to the church's care.

The Diocese of York includes the Benefice of Rural East York, which includes St Nicholas, Dunnington and also Holy Trinity, Holtby; Holy Trinity, Stockton on the Forest; and St Mary's, Warthill churches.

All volunteers in positions of responsibility complete the Safer Recruitment process as outlined by the Church of England National Safeguarding Team. They are also expected to familiarise themselves with the Child Safeguarding Policy and Adult Safeguarding Policy, where applicable to their role.

Church of England Safeguarding Principles

We are committed to:

Promote a safer environment and culture.
Safely recruit and support all those with any responsibility related to children, young people and vulnerable adults within the Church.
Respond promptly to every safeguarding concern or allegation.
Care pastorally for victims/survivors of abuse and other affected persons.
Care pastorally for those who are the subject of concerns or allegations of abuse and other affected persons.
Respond to those that may pose a present risk to others.
These policy commitments are based on our five foundations:

Gospel.
Human rights and the law.
Core principles.
Good safeguarding practice.
Learning from the past.
