FAULD MEMORIAL

The service at St. Werburgh’s on 26th November was a fitting memorial to those who lost their lives in the explosion in the gypsum mine on 27th November 1944. We heard the voices of people who were there, telling of their memories of that time. Prayers were said and hymns were sung. The names of all who died were read out and remembered, followed by a two minute silence.

It was Terry’s first service as our new Vicar – one that, I am sure, he will remember for a long time.
