About Us

Few churches, even here in church-rich East Anglia, can claim such antiquity, but a church was recorded here in Edward the Confessor’s time (1042 to 1066) and the Nave walls are the very same that sheltered worshippers in those far off days.  Even the font dates back to before the 14th Century and the church has a very rich history linked to the nearby hall.  One can only imagine the various people that have come here to worship and pray as well as to be married and baptised.

Although used all year round for weddings and other events, a service of Evening Prayer or Holy Communion only takes place during the summer months of May until October.
