In 1942 the process of funding and building a church in  Tollerton was begun by villagers and in September 1955 St.  Michael’s was dedicated by the Bishop of Selby.  The  Church has since been extended twice and served generations  of local people for more than 60 years.Services:  Services are mostly held on Sunday morning at 10.30 a.m and  once a month we have an afternoon family gathering with  food, games and worship.  St. Michael’s provides holy  communion twice a month and one Sunday each month is an  ‘all age’ Family Service.  (The services do tend to  jump about a bit, so please do check the latest Parish  Newsletter for service details.)

We join with Aldwark & Alne churches to provide  services at special times of the year such as Christmas,  Easter & Mothering Sunday and all members of the  community are really welcome to join us at these special  times.  In fact we welcome anyone who wants to join us at  any of our services, whether on a regular or an ad hoc  basis, and you will be equally welcome if you arrive late or  just fancy having a coffee and a chat with us some time to  find out more. For those who do  join us more often, our regular worshippers come from  Tollerton, Easingwold and other surrounding villages and  they are attracted by our modern worship, informal style and  friendly welcome.

St Michael's runs children's groups  (known as 'GodZone') alongside the morning service  twice each month, for children aged 3 - 13 years and all  children and babies are welcome at all of our services. Our  youth (ages 14 and up) meet Wednesdays in Raskelf with our  local youth leaders and USA youth workers. A Men’s  Fellowship group meets in at he Galtres Centre in Easingwold on the 4th Saturday of each month at 8.00 am along with the Men from some of the other Easingwold churches for a breakfast and prayer time.

We have meeting room facilities which host Mum & toddler  groups, art groups and local parish council meetings,  amongst other things. Please get in touch if you would like  to view the rooms for potential use, facilities include  kitchen, toilet & baby changing, garden space and  wifi.

We join with other local churches and  organisations to publish the monthly parish newsletter which  advertises church and local community events and activities. If you  have a contribution to the newsletter please email it  through to [email protected].  The newsletter is also published to this website. And if you would  like to talk to someone about the Christian faith or if you  have any problems or concerns you would like to discuss in  confidence please contact Wardens Arthur Harland (01347  823575) or Alison Dowson (01347 838138).
