Home Communion is available if you are unable to attend church or may be ill. Please contact Rev James Little or your Churchwarden
Available when needed by arrangement
Join us for a short service of said Communion using the Book of Common Prayer.
Our mixed choir of young choristers and adults meet on a Friday night.
Currently, rehearsals are from 6.30-8.30pm although the time can be flexible, so please check first.
We are always looking for new members of all voice types. Please email our Director of Music, Matthew Collins on [email protected] for more information.
The choir has August off, and usually runs through other holidays.
The usual pattern is a choral service of Holy Communion on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Sundays with Morning Praise on the 4th Sunday. Please check the church noticeboard for any variation to this pattern.
Except on the 5th Sunday of the month, when there may be no service here.
York Singing Academy present a concert of opera, oratorio, art song and musical theatre in the fabulous acoustic of Howden Minster. Their concert in Howden in 2022 was a wonderful evening and the Minster is eagerly awaiting their return.

Admission is £10 on the door (u16s free) with profits in aid of Howden Minster church funds.
A reflective service of Holy Communion with candlelight and Taizé music;
a quiet and centring time at the end of your busy day
This is usually the highly reflective Choral Evensong (BCP). Led by the choir.
All-age event every 3rd Sunday at Howden Minster.
Please note: all children must be in the charge of a responsible adult.
Sorry, we cannot take unaccompanied children for Messy Church, but adults will enjoy the fun along with the children.
