About Us

Michaelhouse is a beautiful fourteenth-century church in the heart of Cambridge. In the past it has been both a parish church and the first Cambridge college chapel. It was renovated in 2002 and now is home to the award-winning Michaelhouse café, and a vibrant community venue.  The building is a beautiful setting for visual art exhibitions, concerts, performances, services, lectures, meetings and parties. The chancel and side-chapel, provide a quiet space for corporate and private prayer, and are open to all.

The building has wide access and ramps making it a comfortable choice for wheelchair and buggy users. There is also a children’s corner in the chancel offering a break-out space for young visitors. A hearing loop and free Wi-Fi access are available.
