Accessibility
Both the Church and the Community Hall have single level accessible toilets.
We have a baby-changing mat in the Church and a fitted baby-changing table in the Community Hall.
There is a small car park at the rear of the Church, serving both the Church and the Community Hall. In addition, there is a larger free public car park just 2-3 minutes' walk away on Beech Tree Road.

Our Building
Not nationally listed, but locally listed. St John's was consecrated as a Chapel of Ease in 1837, the year in which the young Queen Victoria ascended to the throne. As the local community grew, (as a result of the opening of the local colliery), the church building was enhanced and extended to form the church we have today.
In 2019 we signed up to become an Eco Church and have been awarded our Bronze award. We constantly look at new ways to develop and improve upon this.
Music and Worship
We have a well-maintained Hawkins two-manual pipe organ which is played at our services.
Our choir normally sings at our 10.00 services.
We are gradually developing a worship band and welcome the gifts and telents of those who wish to participate.
Groups, Courses and Activities
St John's seeks to be a centre of teaching and nurture. In addition to the diocesan Living Faith course, we hold occasional short courses on various themes, to which everyone is welcome.
Walsall Wood Women's Institute meets in the Community Hall at 1.30 pm on the second Tuesday of Each month.

St John's is a registered Fairtrade Church. We seek to use Fairtrade goods wherever we can.
St John's enthusiastically supports Walsall North Food Bank. All donations gratefully accepted.
We have a modern powerful amplification system and a high quality digital projector and screen.
The Community Hall is available for Children's Birthday Parties (sorry, not Sunday) and Christening Parties. Sorry, we don't do 18th or 21st Birthday Parties.
