Accessibility

The toilets (two of them) are not in the church itself but in two wooden buildings in the churchyard, about 100 metres from the church. The path to them is from the lych gate, to the right as you look from the church or to the left as you enter the path from Southend. We try to keep at least one of them open during the day. Unfortunately, they are not accessible for disabled users.

A ramp is available, so please ask someone on arrival in the porch.

St Mary's is a grade 2* listed building dating from about 1180. See "History" section.

The organ, a two-manual Martin and Coate instrument from 1895, is used at most Sunday services, except Breakfast Time.

Every third Friday of the month (currently suspended due to Covid-19)


Help for Visitors

Guidebooks / Notes

We try to keep the church open every day during daylight, at least between 10 am and 4 pm. Sometimes, this may not be possible due to sickness or a special event, so we apologise in advance if you find the church locked.
