About Us

Old Buckenham is a lively village with a population of about 1400. We are fortunate to have a large Primary school, a Secondary School, and a Complex Needs school, which serve the rural community around the Quidenham Group and further afield. All Saints church, situated on the edge of the large village green, is of Saxon/early Norman origin and has one of the few remaining completely thatched roofs in the country. The Victorian church rooms, once the village school, are used regularly for church and village activities.

At All Saints we aim to give a warm welcome to people of all ages; those brought up in the village and recent arrivals; those new to worship and those for whom the church has always been part of their lives. Our worship largely follows the liturgy from the Church of England 'Alternative Service' book - but we aim for a relaxed and flexible approach, involving as many people as possible in leading prayer and reading lessons; some services are led by lay members of our congregation.

As one church within a group of 7 village churches under the ministry of our Preist in Charge, Rev Sarah Walsh, we often join our fellow Christians from the other churches for worship - varying the location for these 'Benefice services' around the group.  Check out our 'Services and Events' page for the details of the services and other events we have coming up.
