As a Church we take our safeguarding responsibilities seriously and we are committed to ensuring that our church and buildings are safe places for all.

The church council of St. Martin's is committed to implementing the House of Bishops’ safeguarding policies and good practice guidance.

A copy of of the parish safeguarding handbook is available here.

A formal statement to adopt the House of Bishops’ “Promoting a Safer Church; safeguarding policy statement” was agreed by the Parochial Church Council (PCC) and recorded in the minutes of the meeting on 19th July 2018. This was reaffirmed after the formation of new PCCs following the Annual Meetings in 2019-2023.
